Protection of health and treatment of diseases, which are components of healthy life, are the main reasons for the existence of institutions operating in the field of health. The necessity of health management as a scientific discipline emerges at this point. In the process of rapid change, growth and intense competition faced by the health sector today, it is vital that health services are managed honestly, effectively and efficiently in the service of society and humanity.

The need for managers who have the qualifications to work in public and private health institutions is increasing day by day. Management is a profession in itself and an art at the same time. It is extremely important that the management works related to health institutions in the public and private sectors are undertaken and carried out by qualified managers trained in this field. Providing health services in a fast, high quality, effective and efficient manner in harmony with the needs and expectations of the society by accurately analyzing the national and international health system, policies and problems will undoubtedly contribute positively to the success of health institutions and the service provided. In this context, training managers with the necessary knowledge, skills and experience is the basic philosophy and aim of our Health Management Department. It is among the founding objectives of our Department to carry out leading scientific studies in the field of health management in terms of producing and sharing scientific knowledge at national and international level and making serious contributions to the literature.

In line with the goal of raising health managers who can assume effective and successful roles in all levels of public or private institutions and organizations of the health sector, our Health Management Department; It has an extremely comprehensive and systematic curriculum. Our curriculum has a rich theoretical and practical course content for our students to acquire the capacity for action with an analytical, critical and creative perspective. In this context, our students will have the theoretical knowledge about health, management, economics, business and legal sciences, as well as practical knowledge and skills, both during semester and summer internships in health institutions, to be able to comprehend and evaluate all aspects of health systems and policies.

Our department graduates can work in the Ministry of Health, hospitals and other health institutions, improvement centers, universities and research institutions, institutions providing home care services, consultancy firms, health insurance companies, health tourism agencies, non-governmental organizations operating in the field of health and the private sector. In addition, they can be employed as instructors in the relevant departments of faculties and colleges by starting their graduate education programs.
